Actress Rajshri Deshpande has echoed her frustration on the audience for labeling her as an adult film star following her intimate scene with Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Rajshri Deshpande, is renowned for her portrayal as Subhadra in the crime drama ‘Sacred Games’. She shared her experiences of being unfairly labeled as an adult film actor following an intimate scene with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Regardless the scene involving not just her but also Nawazuddin, director Anurag Kashyap, editor, and DOP, Rajshri found herself facing unwarranted scrutiny.

In a recent interview, Rajshri spilled the beans how the intimate scene from the series not only went viral but was also morphed and misused, leading to a barrage of social media posts targeting her.

Venting her frustration, she highlighted the lack of questions directed at Nawazuddin, Anurag Kashyap, and the editing team. It was only the actress who was questioned why she did the scene.

Amidst being an integral part of other shows like ‘Fame Game’ and ‘Trial By Fire,’ Rajshri emphasized that her identity is now predominantly associated with ‘Sacred Games.’

She underscored the need for a constructive discussion on the issue, emphasizing that certain aspects of the industry need to evolve.

While addressing the uncomfortable reality of being unfairly tagged, Rajshri acknowledged the need for change. Over her earlier interview she expressed her comfort amidst the filming of intimate scenes, highlighting Nawazuddin’s professionalism in ensuring her ease.
She added what they showed on the camera was consensual love, but unfortunately, society doesn’t talk about such topics.
