Esha Deol recalls her meeting with Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur through Sunny Deol.
She also shares a close relationship with her half brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol.
In Hema Malini’s biography, ‘Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl,’ Esha Deol shared a unique story that she became the first person from Hema Malini’s family to have visited Dharmendra’s house.
She explained that she was very close to Dharmendra’s brother, Ajeet Deol, who is also Abhay Deol’s father.
In 2015 when Ajeet fell ill in Esha wanted to see him and make sure he was okay. However, he was receiving treatment at Dharmendra’s home.
Im the midst of the arranged meeting that Sunny Deol organised for Esha Deol with Ajeet at Dharmendra’s family home, Esha unexpectedly bumped into her stepmother, Prakash Kaur.
Reflecting on their first interaction, Esha revealed that she touched Prakash Kaur’s feet and left after taking her blessings.
Dharmendra, the veteran actor, has been married twice. His first marriage was to Prakash Kaur, and together they had four children – Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, and Ajeita.
Reportedly in 1980 Dharmendra married Hema Malini, all while remaining legally married to his first wife, Prakash.
With Hema, he has two daughters, Esha and Ahana. However, Dharmendra’s second marriage with Hema was unconventional and sparked considerable media attention for an extended period.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s love story captured widespread attention, challenging societal norms as they eventually married in an unconventional manner.
Notwithstanding the intense media coverage surrounding their relationship, the couple consistently sought to maintain the privacy of their married life.

‘The Dream Girl,’ she disclosed that after she entered into marital bliss, she made a conscious decision never to meet Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur. This choice was rooted in her desire not to disturb or intrude on Prakash Kaur’s life.
