Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial ‘Black’ featuring the Legend Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji clocks 19 years of its release.

Rani Mukherji noted, that looking back on the movie, it gave her a lot of life lessons and taught her to be thankful.

The film narrates the story of Michelle (played by Rani), a deaf and blind woman, and her friendship with her teacher Debraj (played by Amitabh), an elderly alcoholic who subsequently gets Alzheimer’s. Michelle is portrayed by Rani.

Rani went on to add that ‘Black’ had a profound impact on her life as an actress and as an individual,” as she strolled down memory lane.

She further added that even the most basic tasks required sign language, was a very humbling and educational experience. She will always hold a special place in her heart for ‘Black,’ as it taught her a lot about life and gratitude.
