The makers of the much-anticipated “Maidaan” dropped the trailer of the film
on Friday 8 March on the auspicious occasion of
“Mahashivratri”. The entire team of Maidaan were present on the occasion. Notedly, the trailer was greeted with hoots and whistles, building excitement for the film.
“Maidaan” features Ajay Devgn
as an unsung hero Syed Abdul Rahim who revolutionizes Indian football as he coaches young team for Asian Games.
The film showcases how the Ajay Devgn, as coach, scripts history and records for India, accomplishments unmatched even 60 years later in the world’s most played sport, football.

The Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla produced film has screenplay and dialogues by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively. Musical score is by Oscar awardee A.R Rahman and Lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. The film releases worldwide in theatres on Eid, 2024 and also in IMAX.
