The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) which opened at the Chennai Chepauk ground on Friday 22 March witnessed glamour and glitz with the performance by Celebs Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff,
AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam who made it a day to remember. There was dance, and singing. Before the start of the play, Sonu Nigam rendered the National Anthem.
Music maestro AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam did their best.
Crooning tunes from films Taal, Dus and Jai Ho, from the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, it all made for a fun evening to raise the curtains on a new season of the IPL.
It was a treat to watch the lit up Chepauk and the fireworks.
Cbennai Super Kings won the
Opening match bowled out RCB for 174 and won the match by six wickets. No doubt Chepauk is CSK’s favourite ground.
