Heavy rains with thunderstorm to lash across Maharashtra,
Parts of Maharashtra have been experiencing unseasonal rains for the past few days, causing damage to crops in some areas. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for various districts in the state today, warning of more rainfall.
IMD forecasts heavy rains in central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and some parts of Konkan. Isolated thunderstorms with hail are also likely in Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts in Konkan. Citizens have been advised to take necessary precautions in view of the rains.
Heavy rains are also expected in Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, and Ahmednagar districts in North Maharashtra. Isolated thunderstorms are likely in Chhabildaspur, Beed, Dhule, Jalna, Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur districts in Marathwada.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Ahmednagar, Nashik, Pune, Satara, Beed, Parbhani, Jalna, and Chhabildaspur districts for May 12 and 13. Thunderstorms with hail are expected in these districts during the afternoon.
With polling scheduled in some parts of the above-mentioned districts on May 13, voters are advised to cast their votes early in the morning.
