After the original version of Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan” premiered on
Prime Video on May 22, the dubbed versions Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages too streams on Prime Video.
Amidst Eid 2024, Ajay Devgn
unfolded with the sports drama Maidaan. The film centres around the life of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who pioneered the sport in India.
The Amit Sharma’s directorial biographical flick is produced by Boney Kapoor in collaboration.with ZEE Studios,
Notedly, Boney Kapoor film generated exceptional reviews from critics. Ironically, Maidaan ended up being one of the biggest debacle in Hindi cinema.
As per Trade experts, post-Covid, moviegoers lost interest in the sports genre and cited this as the main reason for Maidaan proving a dud. Initially, this Ajay Devgn starrer was planned as a PAN-Indian film but was released only in Hindi. While the original version premiered on Prime Video on May 22, till yesterday, there was no trace of the dubbed versions.
Maidaan also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh in crucial roles. Boney Kapoor, in collaboration with ZEE Studios, produced this biographical flick. Oscar-winning AR Rahman composed the tunes.
