Seizure, freezing and forfeiture of property under the NDPS Act
One of the strategies to fight drug trafficking is denying the traffickers the fruits of their trafficking. Chapter VA of the NDPS Act provides for forfeiture of such illegally acquired properties.

NCB MZU Crime no 70/2021- follow up
Sameer Wankhede’s team- NCB Mumbai had busted a major drug cartel run at Bandra- Kurla area in Mumbai and seized a total 109.8 grams of Mephedrone (Commercial Quantity), cash Rs. 77.92 lakh & 585.5 grams of Gold ornaments worth Rs. 29.4 lakhs on 18 & 19.07.2021 and intercepted 03 persons.
Residents of Kurla west Indira Nagar, have launched a protest against Rubina Niyazu Shaikh , saying she is still operating from there. Residents have planned a Gandhian protest in Kurla Police station on 10/9/21, saying that though she has been externed from there, she is still operating making the area a Drug Haven.
Residents have furnished a list of her illegally made properties, hope the investigation agencies act on residents complaint
