R Madhavan recounts ‘discord’ amid his parents on Money
No doubts, R Madhavan happens to be among the most successful actors in Indian cinema and lives a grand life.
However, he comes from a middle-class family where both his parents worked hard to give him a comfortable life. Recently on a News channel Madhavan articulates that his father would often put his foot down for certain purchases and looked at his mother’s income as a bonus.
Adding that Madhavan recalled, he comes from a family that was a double-income family way back in the 1970s. His mother was working for Bank of India, and father was working for Tata Steel and almost equal salaries.
There weren’t any defined rules about who should be spending for what. They had the privilege of being a double-income family so the holidays were better, maybe the flights were a little more frequent than the others but he distinctly remembers the discord in the family when his father was like he will pay for these things but these other things, he is not going to pay for because he can’t afford it. Madhavan had to make sure that he stays in line and assume he is going to be the single income family household lifestyle for the rest of his life because what you are earning is bonus.
Madhavan had a different take. He said, “He is sure he had a way of looking at it and sure that mother was thinking when we can afford it why are we not living now? When are we going to live and all those conversations.
Meanwhile, the actor will soon be seen in Adhirshtasaali. Director Mithran Jawahar, known for his films with Dhanush, especially their recent collaboration, Thiruchitrambalam, is back with his next. Titled, Adhirshtasaali, the film stars Madhavan in the lead alongside Madonna Sebastian, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and Sai Dhansika.
Recently, the makers released the first look poster of the film, which promises to be quite an intriguing ride.
In the first look, we see Madhavan in the twin roles of a suave and wealthy businessman in an urban setting and a worried and pensive person in an almost fairytale-ish countryside setting. Written by Jeyamohan, Adhirshtasaali marks the maiden collaboration of Madhavan and Mithran. The film has been shot across various locations in Scotland and is billed to be one of the most expensive films of Mithran.
