Kulasekhar famous telugu lyricist passes away
A big setback to Tollywood with the passing away of renowned lyricist, Kulasekhar. He made his debut with Teja’s Chitram and went on to pen numerous iconic songs. He breathed his last passed at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad due to health complications on Wednesday 27 November.
Simhachalam, Vizag, born, Kulasekhar embarked on his career as a journalist with Eenadu before transitioning to the film industry as a lyricist.
His breakthrough film was Chitram, which earned him wide recognition and opened doors for him to pen lyrics for several popular films, including Jayam, Gharshana, Bommarillu, Nuvvu Nenu, Manasantha Nuvve, and Mrugaraju.
His most recent work was reportedly for Nithiin’s Macharla Niyojakavargham.
In recent years, Kulasekhar struggled with mental health issues, and at one point, he was involved in a controversy after stealing valuables from a temple in Hyderabad.
This led to some distancing from his family, and he spent his later years in Moti Nagar, Hyderabad.
His passing has left the Tollywood film industry in mourning. Celebrities paid tribute.
