No sooner the advance booking for Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s debut film, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, opened, it has been experiencing an upward trend, indicating its success. Noticing the positive response from fans, Anil Kapoor congratulated the team and wished them “even more milestones ahead.”
The 2016 romantic drama ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ was re-released on February 7, allowing audiences to enjoy it on the big screen once more. After a week, the film continues to receive an exceptional response, confirming the success of its re-release. Anil Kapoor recently congratulated the team on social media.
The actor shared the poster of the film and penned a note for the entire team, “Congratulations to @deepakmukut and the entire Sanam Teri Kasam team on its re-release! The film has already won hearts and its success is truly well-earned.” He also tagged Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane and others on the post and wished everyone involved ‘even more milestones ahead!’
‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ was written and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Produced by Deepak Mukut, the film features Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, along with Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, and Sudesh Berry. The story follows Inder, a tough ex-convict, and Saru, a traditional librarian, whose love faces a tragic turn that changes their lives forever.
The movie, which initially flopped at the box office upon its release in 2016, has now become a massive hit among cinema lovers following its re-release. In just six days of its theatrical run, the film collected Rs 23.6 crore and has already collected Rs 27.96 crore nett in the first week, a marked improvement from its original release earnings of around Rs 9 crore.
