Mumbai Police arrest music composer Pritam Chakraborty’s office boy in theft case
Mumbai Police have eventually arrested music composer Pritam Chakraborty’s studio assistant boy identified as Ashish Butiram Sayal in theft case – stole Rs 40 lacs.
He was traced to Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district after an extensive review of CCTV footage and technical surveillance. Police recovered Rs 34 lakh, an iPhone, and a MacBook.
Officials from the Malad police station launched a probe after the theft was reported on February 4. CCTV footage from the studio did not clearly show the suspect’s face. The police reviewed 150 to 200 CCTV recordings from Kandivali, Malad, Charkop, Versova, Marve Road, Malwani and Samta Nagar to trace the suspect.
