Kunickaa Sadanand reacts to Udit Narayan kiss controversy: ‘
Last month, a video went viral in which singer Udit Narayan was seen kissing girls on their cheeks, and even their lips, as he performed on stage.
Female fans from the audience stepped on to the stage and posed for selfies with him, only for him to plant a kiss on their faces. The gesture drew the ire of netizens, while Udit later defended it as an act of love and passion.
Now, singer and actor Kunickaa Sadanand has deliberated on the controversy, defending Udit’s actions saying that Udit Narayan kissed, that’s alright, but he kissed on the wrong place. He should’ve kissed on the cheek.
He doesn’t blame anybody. The girl also stepped forward for the kiss. Why have you put the blame only on the man? If sweets are served on your plate, wouldn’t you eat them?That’s not fair. Just because he’s Udit Narayan, you’re saying why did you kiss her?”

In the same podcast she went on to add, First of all, doing a stage show it’s a different emotion altogether. You’re so excited, the audience is giving you so much, you’re on a high.You’re like in a trance. You sometimes dance like you didn’t know you could. You hit different notes, perform differently. She is aware a lot of women will trash or troll me, but you should see your own actions instead of just blaming the man.
Kunickaa also went on to claim that the video is a couple of years old. She added that she’s heard that it was made to resurface recently by Udit Narayan’s rivals since he was being considered for the Padma Bhushan. Fans are crazy. We are not like this. We are decent people. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. What is the point of spreading this? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands..This is all madness. We should not pay attention to this.
