Hyderabad Police intensify crackdown on illegal betting

Now that the IPL 2025 kicks-off from 22 March, Hyderabad Police in a major twist, intensified their crackdown on illegal betting app promotions.

After filing cases against several YouTubers and influencers, the limelight has now moved to Tollywood celebrities.

In a rather shocking development, Miyapur police have booked cases against top actors, including Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj, and Manchu Lakshmi. As per reports cases have also been filed against Nidhhi Agerwal, Pranitha, and Ananya Nagalla, among others, with a total of around 25 people under scrutiny.

Adding to the surprise, several other
acclaimed personalities, including Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Varshini Sounderajan, Vasantha Krishna, Shobha Shetty, Amrutha Choudhary, Nayini Pavani, Neha Pathan, Pandu, Padmavati, and Imran Khan, are also reportedly facing legal trouble.
With more details yet to emerge, this controversy is sending shockwaves through the industry.
