Subhash Ghai shared an interesting story on his film “Karz” featuring Rishi Kapoor that’s for sure will surprise one and all.

The 1980 released “Karz” is one of the best films to have rolled from the production house of Subhash Ghai “Mukta Arts”. The filmmaker took the risk of making a musical thriller in Bollywood that featured an unconventional theme of reincarnation and revenge, yet still emerged as a success.

Notably, the team of Karz came together for a special screening of the film at the Red Lorry Festival 2025 in Mumbai on.Friday. Subhash Ghai was joined by Tina Munim-Ambani, Simi Garewal, Neetu Kapoor, graced the screening since Rishi Kapoor is not our midst.

Amidst Q & A session with the audience and fans at the film festival, the Subhash Ghai shared an intriguing anecdote on the Rishi Kapoor starrer Karz that will certainly leave one and all surprised.

Ghai went on to reveal revealed that he picturised the song Dard-E-Dil, Dard-E-Jigar Dil Mein Jagaaya Aap Ne, featuring Rishi Kapoor and Tina Munim without any choreographer, prompting Rishi to ask him, “Do you have any sense of music?” This left everyone in the auditorium speechless and stunned for a moment.

Dard-E-Dil was composed by the legendary musical duo, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, and was sung by the one and only Mohammed Rafi. The song featured Rishi ji, while Tina Munim’s character was seen hiding behind curtains. Like a couple of other songs in the film, Dard-E-Dil Dard-E-Jigar was a superhit and continues to evoke the same magic.
