Veteran Hindi film producer Salim Akhtar departed to the immortal world on April 8. The late producer was acknowledged for backing hits films like Phool Aur Angaare and Qayamat. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

Salim Akhtar leaves behind his wife, Shama Akhtar, and their son, Samad Akhtar.
He was a very good hunan being and has never hesitated in being of help to those who were in dire need.

Salim was responsible to have launched Rani Mukerji with Raja Ki Aayegi Baarat in 1997 and had even launched Tamannaah Bhatia with Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005.

He had bankrolled other prominent films like Badal featuring Bobby Deol and Rani Mukerji, Phool Aur Angaar with Mithun Chakraborty, and Baazi with Aamir Khan.

Akhtar’s other notable works include Choron ki Baraat , Loha, Batwara Baazi Izzat and others.
He was also a distributor of Hindi films for West Bengal Circuit.

If no exaggeration he had a good publicist who turned filmmaker subsequently in Surendra Srivastava.
He was of great helping hand to Salim Akhtar.

Salim Akhtar’s legacy continues to inspire filmmakers and audiences alike, reflecting his enduring influence on Indian cinema.
