Fishermen urged not to go fishing near oil rigs
In the backdrop of heightened security concerns and recent drone attacks directives have been issued not to go fishing near oil rigs and not to seek shelter around oil rigs in case of storms.
Fishermen have been advised to cooperate with the Licensing Officer in these difficult times as the responsibility of protecting the coast is also on the fishermen.
Shoot to kill orders have been issued in the offshore defence areas, the community has been warned.
As per the latest survey by the central govt, Maharashtra’s coastline is 877.97 kms.
Several airports in India remain shut.
