Twinkle clears up viral rumours of Akshay-Vicky rivalry over a film
It’s a well-known fact within the film fraternity gossip traverses swiftly than facts, and even the sharpest minds can get trapped in its web and Twinkle Khanna just went on to prove it. In a quintessence of internet confusion meets domestic drama, Twinkle found herself on a full-blown argument with her husband Akshay Kumar, over a controversy that never even existed.
All that kicked-off as a random scroll through social media swiftly bourgeoned into a weird tale involving fake news, and a battle that wasn’t.
As a Times columnist, in her recent issue she shared on how a weird rumour had her ringing only to realise that everything was fake. What she assumed had never taken place.
Recently, a film titled Operation Sindoor headlined when producer Uttam Maheshwari went on to announce it, only to face backlash and finally withdrew the announcement with an apology. But it didn’t end there. Soon after, whispers began about multiple adaptations of the same theme, including potential web series and rival movie versions. Caught in the crossfire of these fictional developments were Akshay Kumar and Vicky Kaushal, who were rumoured to be battling it out over the rights to the story.
Twinkle Khanna was emphatically confused. While going through tweets and online chata, she stumbled upon the rumour and, like any sensible person who sees their spouse’s name in the middle of a fictional feud, decided to get to the bottom of it. In her TOI column, Twinkle wrote that she immediately called Akshay to confront him about this supposed clash with Vicky. .
Akshay made her understand that it was fake news.
