Tragedy struck eight people in Mumbra local Monday morning. As per Central Railways some passengers travelling towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai fell from a train near Thane’s Mumbra railway station. As many as 13 people were seriously injured.

A tragic news comes to the fore of Eight passengers who fell off a overcrowded local train near Mumbra railway station on Monday. 9 June.13. Five feared dead. So far railways have not got any information regarding any deaths as per Swapnil Dhanraj Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway.

Meanwhile, the Central Railways reveal that the reason for the accident is believed to be excessive crowd on the train.

The railway admin and police reached the spot.
Those injured were taken immediately to the nearest hospital.

The Central Railways said investigation into the accident has begun.
“Local services have also been affected by the incident.

Meanwhile, Swapnil Dhanraj Nila, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Central Railway, asserts that the mishap occurred after people travelling on the footboard of the two trains collided.
Nila said it was “primarily informed” there were two trains – one travelling towards Kasara and another travelling towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai.

He said the people who were travelling on the footboard collided with each other which resulted into the falling down of eight passengers.
