Nazima, recognised for portraying the ideal sister and best friend to heroes and heroines in Hindi cinema amidst the 1960s and 70s, departed to the immortal world at 77. The cause of her death is yet to be known. Nazima lived with her two sons in the Dadar area of Mumbai.
The actress gave Hindi cinema many memorable films and held a special place in the hearts of the people. Tributes are pouring in from her fans who are shocked at her passing away. She was a good humsn and was never entangled in controversy.
Nazima who always projected a smiling face won the hearts of the audience with her exceptional performance in films. Her brother confirmed her demise. The renowned actress predominantly essayed supporting roles in her career.
Nazima was also recognised as Bollywood’s ‘resident sister’ as she played the role of a sister in many films. In fact, Nazima started her career as a child artist in the film ‘Do Bigha Zameen’, where she played the eldest of two sisters. She is considered a discovery of the famous filmmaker Bimal Roy.
In her passing away Hindi cinema has lost a brilliant actress.
