Reportedly, long ago, Farhan Akhtar made an announcement of
Don 3 with Ranveer Singh, but the film is yet to go on floors due to multiple issues.

Now plans are afoot by
director to kick-off production in January 2026. As per a recent report, the third installment is likely to feature Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, who earlier essayed the role of “Don” and captivated audiences.
However, Industry insiders reveal both Bachchan and Khan are considering the offer.

While no official confirmation has come in, the possibility of seeing three generations of Don on screen together is exciting. If this materialises, it will mark the first time the trio, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ranveer Singh sharing screen space.

When the project was first announced, it faced backlash from netizens who felt that SRK should have headlined it. If the latest news turns out to be true, it might reduce the negativity surrounding the project, since audiences will not miss out on the original Dons.
