Mumbai to experience dry-week until Friday moderate showers will prevail
Following an extended period of wet spells, Mumbai is in for a dry week afore with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stating that only moderate showers will continue in the city for the next five days at least. The weather bureau hasn’t issued any warnings for the Konkan region including Mumbai till at least Friday.
Throughout the previous week, the city experienced intermittent spells of light to medium showers along with overcast skies.
Meteorologists attributes the continuous showers to a low pressure area forming over Bay of Bengal accompanied by an active cyclonic circulation over which a trough had extended from Rajasthan to Jharkhand. In light of the active systems, the IMD had placed Mumbai and neighbouring districts under a yellow alert until Sunday morning.
