News comes to light of Anshula Kapoor, the sister of actor Arjun Kapoor and the daughter of renowned film producer Boney Kapoor, having got engaged to Rohan Thakkar, scriptwriter in a private ceremony at her father’s Bandra residence.
Love, laughter, and tender moments spent with close family and friends characterised the event.
Following the festivities, Anshula paid a heartfelt homage to her brother Arjun on Instagram. She shared a video from her engagement day, pairing it with the soulful Neeti Mohan version of “Tu Hain Toh” from Mr. and Mrs. Mahi. She expressed her love for her brother in her post using words that perfectly encapsulated their unique relationship:
“Bhaiya. Such a simple word, yet it holds my whole world. You’ve been her home, her safe place, her constant.. long before she even understood what those words meant. Every time life shifted around them but he was the one thing that didn’t. Her anchor. Her calm in every storm. He has seen every version of her- the loud, the lost, the hopeful, the heartbroken. And somehow, he loved them all just the same. There’s a kind of peace in knowing that no matter what chapter she steps into next, a part of her will always belong right here – with him. Her Bhai. Her home arjun kapoor”
The day wasn’t just a celebration of new beginnings, but also a deeply emotional one for Anshula, who openly shared how much she missed her mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor.
She found a beautiful way to honour her mum’s memory during the traditional god dharna ceremony—a meaningful engagement ritual.
In a heartfelt video from the ceremony, Anshula’s voice softly reflected on her mother’s presence, saying, “Dear Ma, Remember how you said that fairy tales can be real? The Gordhana was proof and you were right, as always. Since the day Ro proposed though Ma, missing you has felt like a fresh wound. So today, I needed to keep you close.”
