Diljit Dosanjh cancels shows to re-watch Kantara-Rishab Shetty reveals

Actor-Filmmaker Rishab Shetty recently revealed that actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh cancelled his shows to rewatch Kantara with his team, saying “Woh bhi mere jaise bahot bade Shiv bhakt hai”

Reportedly, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 hit theatres on 2 October, sparking excitement especially for the Hindi version of “Rebel Song” rendered by Diljit Dosanjh. Rishab revealed that while he initially struggled to recall Diljit’s name, he was certain the singer’s powerful voice was the perfect fit for the track.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, the long-awaited prequel to his award-winning film Kantara, hit theatres on 2 October, and fans have been buzzing about one special collaboration — the Hindi version of the song “Rebel Song” (Bole Re Kantara) rendered by Diljit Dosanjh.

In a chat with a news agency Rishab Shetty confessed that while he was eager to work with Diljit, he couldn’t quite remember his name at first. He was in Kochi for post-production and wanted a singer who spoke a different language and wasn’t from Karnataka.
“One morning, Diljit’s voice popped into his head, but blanked on his name (laughs). He knew his powerful voice was perfect for Bole Re Kantara. After some digging, he remembered his name and spoke to his producer and composer who were really excited about the idea.
