Anup Soni shares his memories of shooting with Hrithik Roshan
Actor Anup Soni recently shared his experience working with Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan.
Anup Soni opened up revealing about shooting for ‘Fiza’ with Hrithik Roshan before his blockbuster debut in ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’. Anup went on to described a stark contrast in production quality, recalling how he and Hrithik did makeup on a car bonnet before the film’s release.
Post-fame, Hrithik received a dedicated vanity van, showcasing the dramatic transformation in his “star status”.
Hrithik Roshan made a grand entry into Bollywood with ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ released in 2000, alongside Ameesha Patel. The romantic drama turned out to be a massive blockbuster, instantly propelling him him as one of the biggest stars in the country.

which also released in the same year featuring Karisma Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Bikram Saluja, and Isha Koppikar. Among the supporting cast was Anup Soni.
Anup Soni further recalled filming before Hrithik Roshan’s fame and status.
In an interview recently Anup Soni cited that by that time, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ had not been released yet.
Adding that he shot his scenes in two parts, one before Hrithik emerged a star and another following the film’s release. He further explained, he shot for ‘Fiza’ twice
ie in two segments. One was pre-Hrithik emerging a star and one post-Hrithik becoming a star.
Anup also described major transformations on the set, how the shooting environment changed drastically after Hrithik turned a star.
Oh, it was very, very amazing! There was a complete difference in production quality. You see, before ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’, there was a bungalow in Seven Bungalows where the film was shot.
He (Anup) and Hrithik Roshan used to sit on the car bonnet to get our makeup done.
Star status brought luxury and vanity van
Anup continued, Hrithik had his personal makeup man, but as soon as ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ released, a big separate vanity van started arriving for him.
He further recalled that amidst the shoot at a bungalow used to represent Jaya Bachchan’s house, but as far as he remembers they were shooting in that bungalow in Seven Bungalows, and he hadn’t seen a vanity van yet.
Coming to Hrithik Roshan on the work front, over two decades later, he remains one of Bollywood’s top stars. He was last seen in ‘WAR 2’, sharing screen space with Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
