Comedian Aditi Mittal’s emotional Diwali message goes viral

Comedian Aditi Mittal’s emotional Diwali message has gone viral after she shared a touching story over an Air India flight attendant named Preeti. Aditi had comforted her amidst one of the toughest moments of her life.
In a video that she(Aditi) shared on Instagram, she recalled in 2017 taking an emergency flight from London-Mumbai following her father’s sudden passing away. Adding that it was very obvious from her face that she was upset, she said. She continued this air hostess, Preeti, kept offering her warm water, tea, lemonade, without her asking. Later she said, ‘If it makes her (Aditi’s) heart lighter, tell her one funny story about him each time she passes by.
Since she was eager to talk about her father, Mittal decided to write down stories about him that she wished to share with Preeti in a notebook in the midst of the flight.
Her gesture, Mittal said, helped her process her grief. “Now she has a written record of her dad’s goofiest moments,” adding, “Wherever you are, Preeti, hope you’re having the best Diwali in the world.”
Furthermore, Mittal also spoke about how this particular experience also changed how she viewed the work of cabin crew members. She sweared to God,
‘air hostess’ is such a non-descript way of describing all the work they do in the sky in a pressurised cabin,” adding: they need to rename air hostess to something grander, that actually reflects the amount of work they do.
In the comments section, several users shared similar stories of kindness from flight attendants. “Preeti was a better therapist than most ones I’ve come across,” one user said. Another said, “Preethi literally translates to love in Kannada. You truly found love in a hopeless place.”
One of the users also said, “This is literally the most heartwarming reel of the month for me. Let’s find Preeti! She just knew what you needed.”
“This is my favourite Diwali video in the whole wide world. Happy Diwali to you Aditi, and to Preeti, and every compassionate human being,” a comment read.
Air India has not yet identified the crew member, but users tagged the airline in the comments section, urging it to help reunite the comedian with Preeti.
