Legends Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan shared pivotal role in the Ramesh Sippy directorial “Sholay”.The images are back stage from the set of the 1975 released mangum opus Indian film, Sholay. The image shows Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan.
Notably, Sholay is widely regarded as one of Bollywood’s most iconic and influential films, a genre-defining “masala” film that blended action, drama, romance, and comedy.
The film tells the epic tale of two small-time outlaws hired by a former police officer to capture a notorious dacoit named Gabbar Singh in the fictional village of Ramgarh.
The film which tuned out to was a massive commercial success and ran for five years in a single cinema hall in Mumbai, holding the box-office record for 19 years.
The movie is celebrated for its memorable characters, dialogues, and music, achieving a cult status over the years.
The film was shot over two and a half years in the rugged terrain of Ramanagara, near Bengaluru, which was transformed into the fictional village.
