Kartik Aaryan wraps Mumbai schedule of
KJo’s ‘Naagzilla’
Karan Johar’s ‘Naagzilla’, featuring Kartik Aaryan, marks his first venture into the creature comedy genre and has already generated massive buzz. As per the latest update, Kartik is aiming to finish shooting the film by February 2026.
As per media reports Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba shot a month-long schedule in Mumbai with Kartik Aaryan. Reportedly on January 31, the Mumbai schedule was wrapped up. With this 70% of the shoot is now complete. The team of ‘Naagzilla’ now heads to Delhi this month for a three-week-long schedule. The Delhi schedule will mark the wrap of the film. ‘Naagzilla’ went on floors on November 1, 2025, and within four months, the shoot gets wrapped up..The report also states that this was a challenging and one-of-a-kind film, and in between, Kartik went all out to promote his Christmas release, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ (2025; also produced by Karan Johar). At the same time, he gave more than a hundred percent to ‘Naagzilla’ as well.
It’s learned that once the shoot gets completed, Lamba’s complete focus will be on post-production and ensuring that their labour of love turns out to be an exciting and fascinating piece of cinema for the audiences.
In ‘Naagzilla’, Kartik will be seen as Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichchadhari Naag. The actor’s first look from the film was unveiled in April 2025. At that time, Karan shared the motion poster with the caption, “Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh li, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! NaagZilla – Naag lok ka pehla kaand… Funnn phailaane aa raha hai – Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand.
The project is backed by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain. While the makers have kept the plot details under wraps for now, the film is slated to hit theatres on auspicious Naag Panchami on August 14, 2026.
