Churchgate, the final stop on the Western Line, lies roughly 1.4 kilometres from the festival zone. Many visitors enjoy a leisurely walk from the station, wandering through tree-lined streets and past historic buildings that set a charming, relaxed tone. The stroll typically takes 15–20 minutes. For those who prefer to save energy, buses and taxis are easily accessible outside the station, dropping passengers near Hutatma Chowk or Flora Fountain, just a short walk from Kala Ghoda.
CSMT is slightly closer to the festival, about 1.2 kilometres from its heart. A walk from CSMT provides a scenic introduction to South Mumbai’s rich architectural heritage. For those who prefer not to walk, several BEST buses run from outside the station, all converging near Hutatma Chowk. The underground Aqua Line is one of the most convenient ways to reach South Mumbai, and it works beautifully for Kala Ghoda. It runs from Cuffe Parade to Aarey JVLR, the line significantly cuts travel time from several parts of the city.
Hutatma Chowk is the closest metro station to the festival, located approximately 850 metres away. From the station exit, it’s an easy, well-marked walk straight into Image:

BEST buses continue to be one of Mumbai’s most dependable transport options, and Kala Ghoda is well-served by multiple routes. Whether you are arriving from Churchgate, CSMT, or neighbouring areas, buses frequently stop at Hutatma Chowk, Flora Fountain and the Museum area.
