Suniel Shetty explains why SRK’s stardom is in a league of its own
In the midst of his recent interview to a podcast, veteran actor Suniel Shetty explained that Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom remains unmatched
because it’s built on an organic”old-school” connect with audiences rather than, and largely independent of, social media trends.
The veteran actor highlighted several key reasons for SRK’s unparalleled peerless status
Shetty credited SRK’s success to his iconic music and association with legendary director Yash Chopra, noting that in India”music matters” to stardom.
He praised SRK’s work ethic, calling him a “workaholic” always “reinventing and inventing himself”.
Unlike contemporary stars who rely on digital metrics, Shetty noted that SRK rarely relies on social media to build his stardom, relying instead on his charisma and “yesteryear charm”.
The veteran actor also went on to describe SRK as “complete from a human perspective” emphasizing the respect he gives to others and his reliability.
Having collaborated with him in Main Hoon Na, Shetty had earlier labeled him the “most secure” actor in the industry, often willing to let others shine.
He also contrasted this with the current generation, using Ranbir Kapoor as an example of a modern star whose charm is that he is “not there” on social media.
