Mandana Karimi opens up on evolving tensions in UAE -plans to leave India

Iranian-origin actress and model Mandana Karimi has strongly condemned the Iranian regime amid escalating Middle East conflicts, referring to it as a “cancerous cell in the Middle East”. 

In her media interactions, interviews, the actress expressed intense emotional distress regarding the violence, showcasing the long-term suffering of ordinary Iranians and the “48 years” of struggle against the regime. 
She criticized the Tehran leadership following joint US-Israel strikes on Iranian targets, voicing hope for a “free Iran” where women have rights.

Karimi expressed intense disappointment in regard to the demonstrations in India that she perceived as supportive of the Iranian regime, noting, “My heart is broken”

She further reported feeling isolated in Mumbai and stated she has lost friends due to her outspoken,
anti-regime stance.

Due to safety concerns and feeling “betrayed,” she indicated her plans to leave India, with and to return to Iran only following a regime change. 

Meanwhile, the context of these remarks stems from severe regional escalation, including reports of strikes on Iran and the reported death of the Supreme Leader in early March 2026.
