Renowned author columnist Shobhaa De shared mixed, often critical, views on Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.
De has criticized the marketing and hype surrounding the film, particularly the portrayal of Akshaye Khanna’s role, calling the focus on his “entry dance” and overall hype “manipulative”.
Performance Criticism: She noted that the hype made it seem as though Khanna was the “bigger star” who stood out, but disagreed with that assessment.
In her “capsule review,” she directly stated that people have described Dhurandhar 2 a masterpiece.
For Shobha De itsn’t a masterpiece, at least not for her.
She went on to mention in her reviews that “Arjun Rampal Chewed Up Ranveer Singh”
Notwithstanding her criticisms of the narrative and hype, she has previously praised the technical aspects of the Dhurandhar series, including choreography, music, and the overall craft.
