Veteran actor-filmmaker Anupam Kher reacted strongly to the success of the 2026 film Dhurandhar, calling it as a “phenomenal” success and a “sensational blockbuster” that proved its worth despite criticism.
Anupam called the film’s massive success as a “big slap” to those who labeled the film as “propaganda,” stating that audiences do not need to be told what to watch.
Amidst media interaction he emphasized that the film’s box office triumph is the ultimate answer to critics.
He lauded director Aditya Dhar for his “honesty” and dedication to telling a story he believed in.
The actor-filmmaker credited Ranveer Singh for his performance, noting that he “made the film believable” and did not break the character’s mold.
