Dipika Chikhlia, renowned for her role as Sita in the 1987 Ramanand Sagar’s directorial Ramayan series, has publicly shifted her stance on Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming Ramayana film featuring Ranbir Kapoor, moving from skepticism to praise after viewing the teaser.
Earlier, Chikhlia expressed doubts about re-adaptations, stating, she doesn’t think people should be making Ramayan again and again” and voicing disillusionment with new versions. She also stated she was not approached for the new film and, even if asked, wouldn’t play another character.

Following the release of the Ramayana teaser, she stated,she watched the teaser and it’s very grand… Bahut rich lag raha hai.”
Giving her verdict on the New Project: She described the teaser as “very beautiful” and praised the creators, stating, they have made it very well adding that she is now eagerly awaiting the film.
