Director Aditya Dhar has clarified that the “soul” of his film Dhurandhar is not actor Ranveer Singh, but rather the film’s cinematographer.
Aditya expressed immense gratitude for Nowlakha, stating that every frame in the film “breathes” because of him.
Aditya also lauded Nowlakha for his dedication, noting that joining the project just days before shooting began felt like “destiny”.
Nowlakha reportedly told Dhar, he has waited 30 years to do a film like this. He will give his life to it,” a promise Aditya says was fulfilled through his work.
Nowlakha has been credited with carrying the film through tough schedules.
While Ranveer Singh is the lead actor of the blockbuster franchise—which has grossed over ₹2,838 crore—Aditya Dhar explicitly highlighted the technical crew, specifically Nowlakha and music director Shashwat Sachdev, as the heart and soul behind the films’
success.
