“Ramayana”- Part 1 re-defined expectations at CinemaCon 2026, revealing high-resolution character posters of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana in Las Vegas.
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial has been lauded as an “event film” that brings a grand visual spectacle to the screen.
The Magnum Opus was featured alongside global tentpoles such as Dune 3 and Avengers: Doomsday. The film is conducting a private exhibition (showcase) for global distributors to bolster its worldwide release planned for Diwali 2026.
Producer Namit Malhotra and Yash brought the project to the global industry event, highlighting a “Ramayana: Part 1” banner-style reveal.
Character Look: The posters feature detailed, intense looks for Kapoor’s Rama and Yash’s Ravana.
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial film is being marketed as a massive two-part saga aimed at a global audience, promising an immersive IMAX experience.
The film is backed by DNEG (visual effects) and features music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, positioning it as a top-tier global Indian tentpole.
Reportedly, Ramayana: Part 1 is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
