Following reunion to produce film
Ek Din in 2026, Aamir Khan and director-cousin Mansoor Khan gear up to collaborate on a new project: adapting Mansoor’s own book into a film. After releasing Ek Din, plans are afoot for the du to spend time in Coonoor to work on the screenplay, which Aamir has described as a challenging but “enormous truth” worth telling.
Mansoor Khan, who has not directed a feature since Josh 2000, stated he may have to return to the director’s chair for this project.
The duo last worked closely on Akele Hum Akele Tum released in 1995 have maintained a close personal connection, with this new collaboration marking a return to their creative partnership over 30 years after their cult classic, Qayamat Se Qayamat
Tak released 1988.
The Story of the Ultimate Myth is described as an introspective, philosophical novel that explores ecology, human relationships, and a critique of modern civilization.
