Director Priyadarshan has asserted authority dismissing rumors that Tabu was upset with Akshay Kumar over her role being “chopped” in Bhooth Bangla. He called the reports “baseless” and “shameful” and confirming Tabu is happy with the film, clarifying that he makes all editing decisions and that Akshay does not interfere with thep film’s cut.
Priyadarshan slammed the rumors, stating, “If she was upset, she would have told me”.
The director further confirmed that Akshay Kumar did not ask for any, or specifically Tabu’s, scenes to be cut, as reported in various outlets.
The horror-comedy has been performing well at the box office, surpassing ₹200 crore.
The reunion of Priyadarshan and the cast after several years was touted as a success regardless early rumors of tension.Priyadarshan added that all actors, including Tabu, often watch the film before release and that the claims are just aimed at creating unnecessary negativity.
