Vicky Kaushal as Parashurama in”Mahavatar”

Vicky Kaushal is set to commit 18 months to Amar Kaushik’s mythological epic Mahavatar, playing Chiranjeevi Parashurama, with filming scheduled from January to December 2027.

After Love & War, he will undergo six months of intense training starting June 2026, opting not to take other projects to fully immerse himself in this role.

Mahavatar, directed by Stree fame Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films, is described as a high-stakes, once-in-a-lifetime project.: The 18-month, uninterrupted, block covers both intensive preparation and a full year of shooting to maintain the character’s physical and psychological consistency.Preparation: Starting in June 2026, Vicky will undergo extensive physical training and workshops for the role of the legendary warrior-sage.

The film begins production in January 2027, immediately after the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
