MeToo” cases were genuine, about 30% were false, specifically citing Tanushree Dutta’s 2018 accusation against Nana Patekar as having “no physical assault involved” and being “more about body shaming”
As per Behl he felt the case that initially triggered the movement in Bollywood lacked adequate substance.” He characterized the incident as body shaming rather than physical assault. He referred to the accusations against Nana Patekar and director Rakesh Sarang regarding the 2009 film Horn Ok Pleassss.
Behl noted that this was his personal assessment of the allegations made during that period.
In 2018, Amit Behl had mentioned that CINTAA needed to investigate the 2008 complaint further, stating it wasn’t addressed properly at that time, before giving his recent commentary on the matter.
