Responding to criticism feon the opposition, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shinde faction leader Eknath Shinde has made strong statements regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi particularly after remarks by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Eknath Shinde slammed the Congress party for calling PM Modi a “terrorist,” labeling it an insult to “140 crore Indians”. Shinde stated that ever since PM Modi appealed for national unity against such insulting language, the 140 crore countrymen (140 crore bhartiya) have stood with the Prime Minister. Shinde, while condemning the opposition, used strong phrases, stating, “These are traitors, anti-nationals; it is not right to give statements against the Prime Minister. They are digging their own pit”.
Shinde has credited PM Modi’s visionary leadership for development and stated that the public is supporting this “development agenda” over emotional appeals.
