Filmmakers Imtiaz Ali and Anurag Kashyap collaborate to present the coming-of-age short film “Bobby Beauty Parlour”. Shashwat Dwivedi written and directorial with the original story, screenplay, and cinematography by Janhavi Asthana, the project follows childhood best friends Eelu (Adrija Sinha) and Manu (Parul Rana) spending their final afternoon together inside a neighborhood beauty parlor owned by Bobby Aunty (Preeti Kochar).
When Bobby Aunty suffers a heatstroke and a mysterious visitor named Arun (Saksham Raj) arrives, the girls’ carefree revelry is upended, testing the very boundaries of their friendship. Produced by Janhavi Asthana, Ranjan Singh, and Anurag Kashyap, the indie film features editing by Tanya Chhabria, production design by Priya Shree, and costume design by Prashant Sawant.
