According to reports, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh raised India’s concerns regarding the possible transfer of advanced military equipment or sensitive defence technology to Pakistan during high-level discussions with the Italian side. The talks reportedly focused on regional security, strategic stability in South Asia and the importance of ensuring that sensitive military technologies do not adversely affect the security balance in the region.
The development has attracted attention because India and Italy have been steadily expanding their defence relationship, with both countries looking beyond a traditional buyer-seller arrangement toward broader and more long-term strategic cooperation.
