NSA Security Advisor Ajit Doval reveals Modi’s fierce 2025 Pahalgam terror attack

In a newly released episode of the documentary series “Declassified
“Operation Sindoor” National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval shared unprecedented insights into Prime Minister Modi’s decisive leadership following the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam terror attack, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 people.
The remarks offer a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the high-level deliberations that took place as India assessed one of the deadliest civilian attacks in Kashmir in recent years and formulated its strategic response.
Immediate Government Response and Accountability

According to NSA Doval, upon learning of the tragedy, Prime Minister Modi immediately cut short an official foreign visit to return to New Delhi. He convened an emergency meeting with senior security and intelligence officials, demanding immediate accountability.
“His first questions were direct: ‘Who has done it? Who is responsible?’” Doval recalled. The NSA emphasized that the Prime Minister’s directive to the security apparatus was unyielding those responsible had to be identified and pursued, making it clear that the perpetrators would face absolute accountability.

The intensive intelligence gathering and strategic planning culminated two weeks later. In the early hours of May 7, 2025, India launched “Operation Sindoor,” executing precision strikes across nine distinct locations identified as terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

The Indian Government characterized the military action as a focused, counter-terrorism operation strictly aimed at dismantling infrastructure linked to cross-border terror groups.
The strikes led to a tense, multi-day military confrontation between India and Pakistan, which concluded on May 10, 2025, when both nations agreed to a cessation of military actions.

Reflecting on the operation, NSA Doval encapsulated India’s enduring security posture and determination with the powerful assertion: “We fight till the last drop of blood.”
The Pahalgam attack and the subsequent execution of Operation Sindoor mark a defining moment in India’s contemporary national security narrative.

The episode underscores a fundamental principle for democratic nations confronting asymmetric warfare: that national resolve must always be paired with flawless intelligence, strategic judgment, and an unwavering commitment to protecting innocent lives.
