Carrying forward the timeless cinematic legacy of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, the Yash Chopra Foundation has officially announced its monumental scholarship program for the 2026–27 academic year. In a powerful move to empower the true backbone of Hindi cinema, the foundation has selected eleven exceptional young scholars from families of registered film industry and FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) union workers, transforming their futures through full educational support.
These young individuals, who dared to dream beyond boundaries despite financial hardships, will receive comprehensive financial backing to pursue their higher education.
By investing in the children of the industry’s dedicated daily wage workers and technicians, the Yash Chopra Foundation honors the late filmmaker’s deep respect for the crew members who bring cinematic visions to life on screen.
This landmark initiative stands as a testament to the foundation’s enduring commitment to shaping a brighter, more secure future for the real pillars of the Indian film fraternity.
