Actor, producer, and writer Harman Baweja marked one year since the release of the crime thriller Bhagwat: Chapter One – Raakshas on ZEE5.
Baweja highlighted the choice to bring together Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar, known affectionately as Jeetu, in contrasting anti-casting roles.
Arshad Warsi played Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat, a seasoned and emotionally layered police officer pulled into a dark small-town investigation regarding missing women in Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh.
Jitendra Kumar stepped away from his familiar good-guy and slice-of-life persona from shows like Panchayat and Kota Factory to portray Sameer, a college professor with a dark, complex, and unpredictable edge.
Baweja noted that pairing their distinct acting identities and contrasting tones created the realism, tension, and unexpected dynamic that defined the film.
