MMRDA : Mono-Rail COO Dr DLN Murthy should be ‘suspended’ pending ‘ACB’ inquiry- ICGS to Eknath Shinde
There are startling allegations of Corruption on Dr DR D L N Murthy- COO- Mumbai Monorail – Pending inquiry the “Investors and Consumers Guidance Society- ICGS ” request that DR D L N Murthy- COO- Mumbai Monorail – be suspended till the Anti Corruption Bureau of the Mumbai Police investigates the whole matter or he step down till the Anti-Corruption Bureau complete their investigations. the ICGS demanded.
CM Uddhav Thackeray’s office has marked the complaint to Mr Bhushan Gagrani Principle Secretary -Urban Development Department-1 for further action. Mr Bhushan Gagrani is also a part of the MMRDA executive committee

The ICGS further said, “On Press note issued by ACP Alka Deshmukh on 16/8/21 the ACB anti- corruption Bureau of Maharashtra Police filed an FIR. On 16/8/21 the ACB- Maharashtra Police specifically mentioned in its press release that a bribe of Rs 20,00,000 was demamded by the COO of the Mumbai Mono-rail Division of MMRDA.”
The case registered by ACB- Maharashtra CR 35/2021, goes on to say, ” on the investigations done on 2/7/21 it is established that a bribe amount of Rs 20,00,000- has been demanded by the COO Mr DR D L N Murthy- COO- Mumbai Monorail “.
“If the ACB has conducted an enquiry as mentioned in the Press Release and which is on record, then it is established that the bribe amount was asked” ICGS mentioned in their complaint to Mr Eknath Shinde- Minister IN charge of Urban development and PWD and under whom MMRDA operates. ACB Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Mr Rajnish Seth has forwarded the ICGS Complaint to Prabhat Kumar Addl Director General ACB- anti-Corruption for further investigation
ICGS further added in their statement that , “If it is an established fact that the bribe amount has been asked then DR D L N Murthy- COO- Mumbai Monorail has to resign or be suspended pending inquiry or asked to step down till ACB- Anti-Corruption Bureau complete their investigations”. ICGS has also said that a Gandhian Protest outside MMRDA bld- BKC on 17/9/21 at 4 pm, if Dr Murthy does not step down
