Mumbai, the financial hub and a city of dreams is engulfed in blanket of Smog as winter sets in. Temperature to drop in couple of days.
Already Mumbai’s AQI is in poor category and likely to turn worse due to dip in mercury.
As per System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), most parts of south Mumbai witnessed a blanket of smog in the evening hours on Sunday. Plummeting temperature and the suspended pollutants mixing with air moisture were cited as reasons behind the smog.
On Sunday, the city’s skyline was wrapped in haze lowering the visibility.
It’s predicted that the smog is likely get even severe in the days to come owing to gradual decrease in temperature and stagnant winds.
