It’s a well-known fact that Javed Akhtar and Gulzar are two of Bollywood’s most prolific writers and poets. The duo, who share a great camaraderie with each other are predominantly genius in their own right
Although,there is no resemblance between the two, yet people tend to identify one for the other.
It so happened recently that Recently, twosome came together at a book launch
Javed went on to narrate that when he and his wife actor Shabana Azmi were waiting at the airport, man walked upto him and greeted him ‘Adaab Gulzar saab!’ Initially, while Javed was quite taken aback, he decided to play along.
The man then asked him what was he is doing at the airport. Posing as Gulzar Javed hilariously replied that he was waiting for a man whom he has to pick up.
The man, probably confused further asked him if he is really picking up Javed saab from the airport, to which the famed poet replied in the affirmative, saying that he always does that when Javed saab returns after a travel.
The renowned writer even went on to add that notwithstanding any physical resemblance between the two, people with ‘average intelligence’ use their brains like a storeroom, clubbing everyone who works in the same field as one single entity.
The duo also opened up on their bond clarifying that despite working in the same field, there a competition between them never arises and moreover, and they are fans of each other’s work.
