Maha CM Eknath Shinde floored over PM Modi’s gesture amid his Mumbai visit
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was in cloud Nine when he was praised by PM Narendra Modi on his visit to Mumbai to commission the two Mumbai Metro on 19 January.
The CM was floored by PM Modi’s gesture of frequent exchange of smiles and chit-chat amid seated on the dais at an event. This was revealed by a senior BJP functionary.The PM used both words and body language to make it clear that Shinde is for the BJP a prize catch, and matters to the party.
Amidst the competitive celebration by the two Shiv Senas of Balasaheb Thackeray’s birth anniversary on Monday again underlining the unsettled matter of Eknath Shinde’s position, notably, it’s any little encouraging sign from ally BJP that goes far in Maharashtra political circles.
